Ever notice how things are just so much better on sunny days? well California is usually sunny, but sometimes i forget what a blessing it is and how gorgeous the world is. well i was reminded of that with a day out with my love on valentine's day to the Huntington Library. so just thought id share something that brightened my day.
Remember that no matter where you are or what you're struggling through, you are beautiful and you are worth loving. Life is hard; sometimes it may seem as though you're stultified in some horrible nightmare. Open your eyes. See the beauty around you and then you will be able to recognize the beauty within yourself. You will be able to make beauty from pain. Utopia- Within Temptation

do we ever understand how miraculous the small things in life are? the smiles? the laughter? the beauty in the face of a friend? the elegiac qualities of sunsets? do we ever truly understand what miracle being alive is? how amazing the mechanisms in our bodies are that allow us to breathe? every firing of a neuron that even allows us to blink? how miraculous is living, even when we feel worthless! each of us is wonderfully and beautifully made; we all have a purpose. sometimes our purpose is to be a friend, or an aquaintance, or a parent, or a lover. There is so much we take for granted. but stop and think a moment. what wouldn't you give for one more sunrise with someone you love once you've seen your last sunset in this realm of living? Time is precious, you are precious.. don't EVER believe otherwise.
